The Primorsko-goranska County Institute of Public Health (IPH) presented the findings of monitoring air, soil and water pollutants resulting from DINA's activities and their potential impacts on the health of the inhabitants of Omišalj. The findings for 2007 show that the air in the Municipality of Omišalj is of 1st quality category, while the parameters monitored in the sea and lakes in Krk Island are within allowed limit values. The residents of the Omišalj Municipality enjoy as good health as other residents of the Primorsko-goranska County and no health problems related to the petrochemical industry have been recorded. An Independent Commission of Experts for DINA's facilities assessment accepted the IPH's report and found out that DINA's operations had no harmful effects on the environment.
